TA Coalition Webinar: Oklahoma's Peer Recovery Support Specialist Crisis Track Training

A SAMHSA sponsored two-part series webinar presented on behalf of the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors, took place Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 2:00-4:00pm Eastern Time (Part One) and Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 1:00-2:00pm Eastern Time (Part Two) called “Oklahoma’s Peer Recovery Support Specialist Crisis Track Training”.  

 

 

Description:

Crisis centers are a vital resource for individuals going through mental health crisis. Oklahoma has recently developed a virtual training on a Peer Recovery Support Specialist Crisis Track that we would like to showcase.  A wide range of material will be shared to orient peer support specialists and new peer specialists who work in crisis services, to their roles on mobile crisis teams and more.

•Tony Stelter, MHR, C-PRSS, LPC, Director of Recovery Supports for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.

•Susie Seymour, C-PRSS, identifies as a person in recovery and works as peer at the Oklahoma County Crisis Intervention Center.

•Tyler Ross, C-PRSS, identifies as a person in recovery and works as a peer for OCARTA, a peer run recovery community organization.
