Optimizing First Episode Schizophrenia Medication Treatment Using the RAISE-ETP (NAVIGATE) Model

Description:

Dr. Delbert Robinson, Professor of Psychiatry and Molecular Medicine at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine, presented a three part series covering optimal medication treatment for First Episode Psychosis as practiced in the NAVIGATE Program. NAVIGATE is a comprehensive intervention program for people experiencing their first episode of psychosis. NAVIGATE treatment has been shown to result in better outcomes for patients in a variety of areas including quality of life and symptom control. Dr. Robinson chaired the committee that developed the medication treatment component of NAVIGATE. The webinars were specific to the Montana target population but still relevant to other states. For more on this topic, please see the two-webinars series, Providing Treatment for First Episode Psychosis Clients: Telehealth and other Strategies, Parts 1 and 2 with Dr. Caroline Bonham, that is a companion series to these webinars.
