Luke Bonkiewicz is a police officer for the Lincoln Police Department with approximately ten years of law enforcement experience. He is currently LPD’s Resource Coordinator, responsible for conducting the intern and volunteer program, assisting with the police applicant hiring process, and a variety other training and education projects. He has assisted LPD in analyzing various data related to traffic stops, license suspensions, gang intervention programs, mental health referral programs, use of control by police officers, assaults on police officers, and victim assistance. He had published peer-reviewed research on patrol officer productivity, the role of police in disasters and evacuations, and police response to mental health calls for service.
