A series of 10 technical assistance collaborative papers providing important resources for state leaders, policy makers, providers, peers and others to learn from examples around the country and hear from thought leaders about innovative services and the need for further 988 implementation to help address crises when they occur and link people to needed behavioral health services and provide important services to prevent them in the first place. This series is produced by SAMHSA in conjunction with NASMHPD. See here for SAMHSA’s publication of the 2022 compendium of all 10 papers in one document. See here for the 2022 compendium as well as each paper listed individually for ease of access.

The From Crisis to Care series is part of an ongoing effort to provide education and technical assistance to the field as an outgrowth of the 2017 paper "Beyond Beds: The Vital Role of a Full Continuum of Psychiatric Care." Each year, approximately 10 papers and a complete compendium has also been produced. These "Beyond Beds" Series of Working Papers from 2017-2022 can be located here.
