TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE
TO HELP NON T-SIG STATES AND TERRITORIES
TRANSFORM THEIR MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEMS

The Office of Technical Assistance received support from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) to provide training and technical assistance to help states and territories that did not receive a Transformation State Incentive Grant (T-SIG) to transform their mental health systems.

The Office of Technical Assistance convened two regional workshops for State Mental Health Commissioners and their Directors in April and May, 2007. Presenters overviewed ten models identified as being of highest priority in their states' transformation efforts.

In the wake of these workshops, non T-SIG states may request training / technical assistance (TA) from any of the presenters through NTAC with a letter from their state mental health commissioner.
